Education Rooted in Tradition and Progress

KRN Education

KRN education offers immersive learning experiences designed to support thoughtful teaching, continued growth, and a deeper understanding of movement through both established methodology and evolving practice.

Where Tradition and Teaching Converge

Our Educational Approach

Through the Red Thread Method, KRN offers a unique educational opportunity that enhances the skills of the teacher while providing a clear picture of how to build an individualized client profile based on needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Students learn how to progress individuals and deepen their understanding of the importance of precise, intentional skill development. The Red Thread Method gives instructors a complete framework for teaching — one that connects every exercise, concept, and correction back to a unified approach that serves both the instructor and the client.

KRN has created an optimal learning environment called The Red Thread Ranch (The Ranch). Here, learning unfolds in a setting designed for focus, inquiry, and meaningful progression. Every detail of the studio has been thought through — from the layout of the apparatus to the rhythm of each session — so that instructors can immerse themselves fully in the work without distraction.

Throughout the year, seasonal workshops bring fresh perspectives and renewed rigor to the Ranch. These gatherings complement the ongoing programs and offer opportunities for instructors at every stage to deepen their understanding.

The Program

Pilates Advanced Professional Teacher Training

PPATT is not a certification program — it is an advanced training designed for formally trained and certified Pilates instructors who are ready to go deeper. The program teaches the connection between exercises and the application of the Method: the how, the why, the when, and the where.

Each training is limited to 10–15 instructors, and groups are carefully formed. Kathryn personally considers each applicant's personality, teaching style, and background to create a cohort where every member contributes to collective growth. The program spans 12 months as four 3-day intensive segments.

Participants should expect rigor: homework, tests, a final exam, and a thesis are all required. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a certificate of completion or graduation.
